In the Bellingham area and looking for a local and delicious place to eat? Then you should definitely give Boundary Bay Brewery a try. Opening in 1995 as the first and third brewery to the city (first in permits, third brewery to open its doors to the public), it offers a sufficient taplist, cocktails, wine, cider, and non-alcoholic drinks, in addition to a well crafted food and dessert menu. We ordered a flight (served on a tiny boat!) to begin our meal, followed by an appetizer of deviled eggs. The flight itself consisted of all their malty beers and one fruity. By far our favorite was the Imperial Oatmeal Stout—a medley of dark malts and oats.

Our main course was their smoked salmon chowder with a side salad. Everything was flavorful and scrumptious. We skipped dessert but were only the sorrier for it as the choices were appetizing. We highly recommend giving Boundary Bay Brewery a try, there are so many options to sample from!
