Showcasing the work of Mexican American artist Alfredo Arreguin, Whatcom Museum in Bellingham presents El Velo Exquisito, or The Exquisite Veil. A six month long exhibit (January 25th – July 6th, 2025) featuring 13 oil paintings that explore many scenes from nature and execute his signature technique of overlaying images with lace-like patterns. His love of colour, pattern, and the natural world is overwhelmingly present in each of his pieces. Arreguin passed away in 2023 and donated 6 of his works to the Whatcom Museum’s permanent collection. These as well as paintings on loan from his estate and also private collections are what you will see at this show. Check it out and immerse yourself in his vibrant world.
