The Bellingham Parks Volunteer Program is a wonderful way to get out into the community and be of service. They offer small-scale work parties in Fall, Winter, and Spring at parks and trails throughout the city. Mostly held on Saturdays from 9am-12pm, you must register to participate as spaces are limited. On June 28th, 2025 I volunteered at the Cornwall Rose Garden clean-up where we weeded, did some edging, mulched, and watered the flower beds. It was great doing work to preserve the garden as well as being outdoors.
